Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

Dollhouse Kittens is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We are a small, in-home cattery, and our kittens are raised in our family home—not in a commercial facility. We primarily place kittens with families in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, but we also work with families in surrounding states when appropriate.

Are you a registered breeder?

Yes. We are proudly registered with The International Cat Association (TICA). Our registration reflects our commitment to ethical breeding practices, breed standards, and responsible care.

What breeds do you raise?

We specialize in pure-bred Ragdoll and Cherubim kittens. These breeds are known for their gentle, affectionate personalities, striking blue eyes, and strong bonds with their people.

How are your kittens raised?

Our kittens are raised in our home alongside our four children. They are handled daily from shortly after birth (when safe to handle) and exposed to normal household sounds, activity, and affection. This early socialization helps our kittens grow into confident, loving companions who transition well into family life.

Do Ragdolls make good family pets?

Yes. Ragdolls are widely loved for their calm, gentle, and affectionate temperament. Many families appreciate how well they do with children, other pets, and busy households. They tend to enjoy being near their people and are known for their relaxed, easygoing nature.

Are Ragdolls good emotional support animals?

While we do not make medical or therapeutic claims, Ragdolls are often chosen for their calming presence, affectionate demeanor, and strong desire for companionship. Many families find these traits comforting and emotionally grounding in everyday life.

Do you health test your cats?

We prioritize health and responsible breeding. Our cats receive regular veterinary care, and we breed thoughtfully with health, temperament, and longevity in mind. Our goal is to place healthy kittens who are well prepared for life in their new homes.

What is included when I adopt a kitten?

Each kitten typically goes home with:

Age-appropriate veterinary care

Early socialization in a family home

Registration documentation (as applicable)

Health and care information

Ongoing breeder support

One Year Health Guarantee, as Outlined in Our contract.

How much do your kittens cost?

Pricing varies depending on factors such as coat and pattern, but starts at $2,500. Our pricing reflects ethical breeding practices, veterinary care, and extensive in-home socialization.

How do I reserve a kitten?

We place kittens thoughtfully and intentionally. If you are interested, we encourage you to reach out to introduce yourself, ask questions, and learn about upcoming litters. Because we are a small cattery, availability is limited.  If it is a good fit, we require a $500 non-refundable deposit to hold the kitten.

Do you ship kittens?

Our preference is for kittens to be placed in person whenever possible so families can meet us and feel comfortable with the transition. If special circumstances arise, we are happy to discuss options on a case-by-case basis.

Can I visit your cattery?

For the health and safety of our cats and kittens, we are a closed cattery and do not permit visits.  We are, however, willing to schedule Zoom calls by appointment.  We are always happy to answer questions, share photos, and provide updates.

Do you offer lifetime support?

Yes. We genuinely care about every kitten we place and are always happy to answer questions or offer guidance throughout your cat’s life.
